Howard, Barclay was founded in 1994 by the late Charles J. Howard and Lorne R. Barclay.

Charles J. Howard (1942-2005)
With over 30 years in the investment industry, Charles was Vice Chairman of Nesbitt Thompson Inc., and Chairman, President and CEO of F.H. Deacon Hodgson Inc. before forming Howard, Barclay & Associates. Charles was a Chartered Accountant with a B.A. in English and Economics from the University of Western Ontario.

Lorne R. Barclay
With a highly successful business career spanning over 30 years, Lorne was also Chairman and CEO of Smith Packaging Limited and its group of companies. A Chartered Accountant with an MBA from the University of Toronto, Lorne was also a past Chairman of the Young President’s Organization – Ontario Chapter. Lorne still remains in an advisory role at Howard, Barclay.
